DAILY RATE OF PAY: $80.00 - $85.00 per day 

                                                           2019-2020 School Year 

Substitute for Para Position 

 

$75.00

 

Substitute for Teacher

(Hold a sub certificate) 

 

$80.00

 

Substitute for Teacher 

(Hold teaching certificate but no proven tenure from prior districts)  

 

$80.00

 

Substitute for Teacher 

(PSRS Retiree or state recognized retirement system or proven tenure from prior district)

 



$85.00

 


 * Teachers who sub for a paraprofessional will be paid $75.00 per day   


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid Missouri substitute teacher certificate
  2. Criminal justice fingerprint and background clearance
  3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board and/or Superintendent may find appropriate

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

REQUIRED PERFORMANCE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned
  2. Teaches lesson plan as outlined by the absent teacher
  3. Performs all extra duties for the absent teacher as required by the building principal
  4. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
  5. Can work in a technology-rich environment
  6. Teaches district approved curriculum and adhere to the adopted Board of Education policies
  7. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with students, staff, and community
  8. Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing
  9. Organizes and prioritizes educator workload to best meet the needs of students
  10. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
  11. Evaluates students’ academic and social growth and keeps appropriate records of student learning
  12. Works well as a team member to serve all constituencies
  13. Remains at school during the entire school day unless excused by the principal or the designated representative
  14. Adheres to and follows all deadlines and requirements as presented by administration/state/federal law
  15. Attends all meetings as requested by building and district administration
  16. Maintains strict confidentiality as required by law
